Finnegans Wake

Super excited about this!

Adaline Glashine was a Joyce scholar who specialized in the study of Finnegans Wake. 😮I have only just begun to look through this--but it's a treasure. She goes through the text by page number, and also provides an index.

Thanks for searching and finding out this exists, Andy. I found it available from the University of Wisconsin.

Finding your way--

After the preface, there is a synopsis of Finnegans Wake. It's interesting and useful, though I think we have what we need in that regard from Tindall. Reading to page 40 of the synopsis would take you up to date in our reading.

There is an excellent set of charts beginning at page 77 and continuing to page 90 entitled "Who is Who When Everybody is Somebody Else."

Following the charts is the "Census." This has some really valuable information. Two examples are the entry for Adam Kadmon and Parnell. For Adam Kadmon, enter page 92 in the Search bar of the PDF. For Parnell, enter page 312 of the PDF.

As a Joyce scholar, Adaline Glashine is able to make connections between Finnegans Wake and other Joyce works that will be fun if you have read, or intend to read, those other works.
