Epistemology

I hope you're looking forward to our first Locke seminar this Sunday. Here's a picture of the original title page to Locke's Fourth Edition. Note the epigraphs, one from Ecclesiastes, one from Cicero. I found this translation of the Cicero (which appears to be somewhat modified from the original): "It is a more beautiful thing to wish to acknowledge that which you do not know, than to spout nonsense and disappoint even yourself!"
